Melanie de Jesus dos Santos — a French gymnast, multiple European champion, and World Championships medalist
Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos is an outstanding French gymnast, renowned for her achievements in international competitions.
Mélanie competed at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she placed 6th in the team event and on the uneven bars, as well as 11th in the all-around competition.
Mélanie is a four-time European champion, having won gold in the all-around (2019), floor exercise (2018 and 2019), and uneven bars (2023).
In addition, she has won multiple silver and bronze medals in both team and individual events.
Ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Mélanie became an ambassador for the fashion house Dior and received support from the LVMH group.
Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos was born on March 5, 2000, in Fort-de-France, Martinique, an overseas department of France. Mélanie moved to France from Martinique at the age of 12 to focus on her training.
In 2022, Mélanie relocated to the United States to train under Laurent and Cecile Landi at the World Champions Centre, where Simone Biles also trains.
