Google introduced a new feature in Gmail for Android, iOS, and the web version — smart email search based on artificial intelligence technology.
The update became available on March 20 and applies to users with personal email accounts.
The AI automatically identifies the most important messages and moves them to the top of the list. The algorithm takes into account the email’s topic, relevance, frequency of interaction with the sender, as well as the number of opens and clicks.
The Gmail interface now includes a new tab called “most relevant,” allowing users to quickly find the messages they need. At the same time, users can switch back to the familiar chronological sorting.
The update for corporate accounts will be released later.
Earlier, Poland announced its own language model PLLuM, developed to boost the country’s digital technologies. The new AI will be used in public administration, business, and online services and is expected to become a key tool in digital transformation.
