During the night of March 22 to 23, 2025, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine, deploying 147 UAVs, including 122 Shahed strike drones and 25 decoys. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The attack was launched from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Primorsk (temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region).

The Air Force, air defense units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups repelled the assault.

97 drones were shot down, and 25 decoys were lost without causing damage.

Despite the effective defense, strikes affected Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Donetsk regions.

Air defense was actively engaged in Kyiv, especially on the left bank, but debris from downed drones caused destruction.

In the Dniprovskyi district, the upper floors of a residential building and an office caught fire. Fires were also reported in high-rises in the Podilskyi district, and debris fell on an industrial area in the Holosiivskyi district.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a car was damaged. Emergency services responded promptly, and information on casualties is being clarified. City authorities urged residents to stay in shelters until the air raid alert ends.
