On March 31, a trilateral meeting was held in Khujand (Tajikistan) between the presidents of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan — Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon, and Sadyr Japarov.

The heads of state signed a historic agreement on the junction point of their state borders, finally resolving decades-long disputes.

During the meeting, the parties congratulated each other on the holidays of Ramazan Hayit and Navruz, and inaugurated the Friendship Stele — a symbol of growing partnership.

Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of deepening economic cooperation, suggesting the modernization of customs checkpoints, development of joint logistics, and creation of a permanent trade platform.

They also discussed transportation, green energy projects, and water security issues.

As part of the meeting, a section of the CASA-1000 power transmission line was launched, through which electricity will be supplied to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The President of Uzbekistan expressed readiness to expand joint investment funds and boost cultural exchanges, including festivals and concerts.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of a joint declaration.
