Former U.S. President Donald Trump, while aboard Air Force One on Thursday, unveiled to journalists an exclusive “Golden Card” worth $5 million.

According to Trump, the new card offers foreign investors not just a green card, but enhanced privileges — “green-card privileges-plus.”

The program is based on an overhaul of the EB-5 system, which previously allowed residency through investment but suffered from bureaucratic delays. “This is the first copy. You know what kind of card this is? It’s the Golden Card — the Trump Card,” he said. “I became the first buyer myself.”

The new project targets wealthy foreigners who want quick and comfortable access to the United States. The program will be offered to a limited number of investors.

Trump emphasized that this approach is a “revolution in investment-based immigration.”

Earlier, in February, Donald Trump and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick introduced the Golden Card project for the first time. They stated that the program would allow foreigners to obtain U.S. residency through investments starting at $5 million.

According to Trump, the card grants green card rights and may lead to citizenship. Highly qualified employees of foreign companies will also be eligible for residency. Lutnick noted that the new system would replace the outdated EB-5 visa.

It was previously reported that Trump's imposed tariffs caused global stock markets to crash, leading to one-day losses of $208 billion among the world’s wealthiest individuals, with U.S. billionaires taking the biggest hit.
