Every year, residents of the Netherlands travel approximately 69.5 billion kilometers—most often alone in vehicles designed for multiple passengers.

This data, published by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) for 2021, highlights the scale of the problem: this mode of travel contributes to traffic congestion, excessive fuel consumption, and rising CO₂ emissions.

In response to this challenge, the startup YKSI offers a radically new solution — a compact, single-seater electric vehicle.

The YKSI model is designed specifically for urban environments and takes into account modern ecological and technological demands.

The car weighs only 600 kg, reaches speeds of up to 130 km/h, and can travel up to 350 km on a single charge.

Its distinctive feature is a tilting chassis, inspired by natural movement, which allows the vehicle to lean smoothly into turns, reducing stress and energy use.

YKSI engineers set out not just to create another electric car, but to rethink the very concept of mobility.

With its narrow body, stable construction, and energy-efficient design, the vehicle is ideal for dense urban traffic.

Earlier it was reported that a rare Honda S600 convertible, produced in 1966, was sold at the Bring a Trailer online auction. The compact retro coupe, capable of reaching 140 km/h, was purchased for 80 thousand dollars.
