On the evening of April 10, a major fire broke out in a residential complex in the Netherlands, after which police arrested four minors, according to a report from the Dutch National Police.

Their involvement in the fire and the events leading up to the incident is currently under close investigation. Authorities do not rule out further arrests.

By around 11:00 p.m., firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control. The fire caused significant damage to several apartments, and residents were evacuated and placed in temporary shelters.

Returning to the building is currently impossible due to the risk of collapse — the structure is being reinforced with supports. The area around the building has been cordoned off, and a forensic investigation will soon begin.

Police are urging citizens to share any information or surveillance footage, including from doorbell cameras or dashcams.

Earlier, it was reported that the Amsterdam police identified a man who attacked passersby with a knife in the city center: he turned out to be a 30-year-old Ukrainian from the Donetsk region who had previously concealed his identity.

It was also revealed that the Dutch prosecutor's office launched an investigation into Rabobank over alleged long-term violations of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.
