American actor Eric Dane, best known for his role as Cal Jacobs in the series "Euphoria", has announced that he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He revealed this in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine.

The 52-year-old actor said he currently feels immense support from his family — wife Rebecca Gayheart and their two daughters: 15-year-old Billie Beatrice and 13-year-old Georgia Geraldine.

Despite the serious diagnosis, Dane does not plan to stop working and is already preparing to return to the set — production of the third season of ‘Euphoria’ begins on April 14.

He also asked fans and the media to respect his privacy during this stage of life.

Eric Dane is an American actor, best known for his roles in "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Euphoria". Born in San Francisco, he began his career in the 1990s with episodic roles in TV series.

His breakthrough came with the role of Dr. Sloan, who became a fan favorite. He also starred in films and TV projects, including "Valentine’s Day".

In "Euphoria", he played a complex dramatic role and admitted that intimate scenes using prosthetics were difficult for him.

It was previously reported that Val Kilmer passed away at the age of 65 — a charismatic and extraordinary actor known for his roles as Batman and as The Doors frontman Jim Morrison. After a vibrant career, he stepped back from acting for ten years but remained one of the most memorable actors of his generation in Hollywood.

It was also announced that Cristiano Ronaldo has launched his own film studio in partnership with "Kingsman" director Matthew Vaughn. The new creative duo has already completed work on two films and plans to actively develop their cinematic direction.
