USA — In the state of Wisconsin, 17-year-old Nikita Casap has been arrested for the brutal murder of his parents — 51-year-old Donald Mayer and 35-year-old Tatyana Casap.
According to ABC News, citing the Waukesha County sheriff, the bodies were discovered at their home on March 1. Investigators determined that the teen acted deliberately, seeking money and independence to carry out a plan to assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the U.S. government.
The FBI found materials linked to the neo-Nazi group "Order of Nine Angles" in Casap’s possession, as well as a manifesto calling for violence in the name of "saving the white race." He was in contact with accomplices and had obtained a drone and explosives for a terrorist attack.
Casap is charged with first-degree murder, concealment of corpses, property theft, and is also expected to face federal charges for conspiracy, attempted assassination of the president, and use of weapons of mass destruction.
A preliminary hearing took place on April 9, and the suspect remains in custody. The next court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
It should be noted that on February 28, Nikita Casap was detained in Kansas for a traffic violation. He was driving his stepfather’s car, where police found a gun, the victims’ documents, and spent shell casings. On March 3, he was charged with vehicle theft and possession of a stolen weapon.
Additional charges followed: the murder of his parents, concealment of bodies, theft, and the use of stolen identities. Investigators say he shot both his mother and stepfather on February 11, continued living in the house for almost two weeks, and even attended school.
Police recovered a video of Casap lighting candles near the body, recorded about a week after the killings. He also allegedly stole $14,000 and tried to obtain fake license plates to hide the car. Phone data showed he drove through five states. The court believes he intended to flee not only the state but also the country.
Earlier reports said that a Bell 206 tourist helicopter with six passengers on board crashed into the Hudson River in New York — according to rescuers, the bodies of at least four victims were recovered from the water.
