Poland — On the night of April 13, a group attempted to breach the Polish-Belarusian border near Mielnik.
According to a statement by Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Minister of the Interior and Coordinator of Special Services, several dozen individuals tried to illegally enter Polish territory.
When a Polish patrol arrived, the attackers began throwing stones at the service vehicle.
Surveillance footage captured a person in a Belarusian uniform also participating in the assault, throwing stones at the Polish officers.
Thanks to the quick response of border guards and soldiers, none of the attackers managed to cross the border. No Polish personnel were injured.
Recently, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk released a video of the attempted migrant breach, calling it another provocation by Belarus; the Ministers of the Interior and Defense arrived at the scene.
