President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported positive results from the negotiations between Ukrainian and American teams on the development of mineral resources.

According to him, the meeting of technical specialists took place and concluded on an optimistic note.

He made this statement on April 15 at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

Zelensky clarified that the negotiations were held both offline and online and will continue throughout the current week.

He also noted that after the consultations are completed, both parties will present the results of their work. In his view, the negotiations got off to a successful start, and both delegations were satisfied with the progress made.

As a reminder, in Odesa, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. They discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, the need to maintain pressure on Russia, and allied involvement in ensuring security.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine counts on the implementation of all air defense agreements and continued support within the framework of the “Ramstein” format.

They also discussed the role of the United States in negotiations with Russia — according to the President, Putin has ignored the ceasefire proposal for 35 days.

Rutte condemned missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, particularly the attack on Sumy on Palm Sunday, and assured that NATO would continue to support Ukraine. In 2025, NATO member states have already pledged more than 20 billion euros in aid.
