Serbia — On April 15, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia elected a new government headed by Djuro Macut, reports PTC.

His candidacy was supported by 153 of the 199 present deputies, 46 voted against, and 51 were absent.

After the vote, Macut and his cabinet officially took office by swearing an oath before parliament. The ceremony was attended by President Aleksandar Vucic.

The ministers pledged to uphold the Constitution, act responsibly, and protect the territorial integrity of Serbia, including Kosovo and Metohija.

The new cabinet includes 31 members, among them Sinisa Mali, Ivica Dacic, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, Marko Djuric, and others.

The prime minister outlined key priorities — social dialogue, economic growth, educational reforms, and commitment to European integration.

Earlier in Serbia, demonstrators organized protests near state television buildings, demanding political changes.

Clashes with police occurred during the demonstrations. President Aleksandar Vucic made it clear he would not make concessions, emphasizing that power could only change through elections, not through street pressure, which he described as a disruption of order.
