On Wednesday morning, April 17, at 7:38 a.m. local time, a powerful explosion occurred at the Northrop Grumman plant in Box Elder County, Utah (Promontory area), completely destroying one of the buildings.

According to the sheriff's office, no one was injured at the time of the incident, although this information may change as the investigation continues.

In videos posted by eyewitnesses, a thick column of smoke can be seen rising above the facility, and residents reported that the shockwave was felt even in nearby homes. The cause of the explosion remains unknown.

Due to the remote location of the facility, no shelter-in-place order was issued for local residents.

Preliminary reports indicate that the affected building was not related to the production of solid fuel boosters for U.S. space programs.

Earlier, it was reported that in Pennsylvania, a man broke into Governor Josh Shapiro's residence with Molotov cocktails and set the building on fire, despite a sleeping family being inside. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the suspect was detained.

It was also reported that in New Mexico, the FBI arrested Jamison Wagner, who is accused of setting fire to a Tesla dealership and a local Republican Party office. His identity was established using security camera footage.
