USA. On the night of April 19 to 20, a series of destructive weather events once again struck southern Oklahoma. In the city of Ada, Pontotoc County, a tornado damaged the North Hills shopping center and other buildings, leaving more than 1,200 residents without power.

Strong winds toppled trees and power lines, and debris was scattered up to 8 miles away. One person was injured, and about 30 guests at the Quality Inn hotel were evacuated.

This is the second tornado to strike Ada in the past month and a half; the previous one occurred on March 4 and also caused significant damage.

In the city of Moore, located 16 kilometers south of Oklahoma City, heavy rainfall triggered sudden flooding.

A car carrying a woman and a 12-year-old boy was swept under a bridge, and both died. Authorities described the event as a "historic weather incident" that led to dozens of roadway accidents.

The National Weather Service continues to warn of possible tornadoes and flooding in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. Residents are advised to take safety precautions and avoid driving on flooded roads.

It was previously reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred in the southern part of California, in the San Diego County area.
