Ukraine repels massive attack: 112 targets downed, including missiles and Shahed drones
On the night of April 24, Russia launched a powerful combined strike on Ukraine, using over 200 aerial targets, including missiles and drones. Ukraine successfully repelled the attack, shooting down more than a hundred objects.

During the night of April 24, 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the largest air assault by Russia since the beginning of spring, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Starting at 7:30 PM on April 23, the enemy launched 215 aerial targets over Ukrainian territory, including missiles and attack drones. The main direction of the strike was Kyiv. Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi regions were also hit.
The attack involved Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K cruise missiles, Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air-to-surface missiles, as well as 145 Shahed attack drones and decoy targets.
Launches were carried out from Russian territory, temporarily occupied Crimea, and the Black Sea.
To repel the attack, air defense units, aircraft, anti-aircraft systems, mobile groups, and electronic warfare tools were deployed.
As of 10:00 AM, 112 targets had been shot down: 7 ballistic and 41 cruise missiles, 4 air-to-surface missiles, and 64 Shahed drones. Another 68 decoy drones were recorded but caused no damage.
F-16 and Mirage fighter pilots played a key role in the defense, downing dozens of enemy targets. The Air Force continues to defend Ukrainian skies 24/7.
