On the evening of April 29, a bloody shootout took place in the Swedish city of Uppsala near a hair salon at Vaksala Square, reported SVT Nyheter.
According to the police, three young men aged between 15 and 20 died at the scene. One of the victims, according to SVT, was involved in a case regarding a planned assassination attempt on a relative of notorious gangster Ismail Abdo.
The authorities confirmed the deaths around 19:25 and launched a murder investigation. A special operation mode was enacted at the scene, and the area was searched into the night.
One suspect — a minor — was detained, and his role is being clarified. There are reports that the perpetrator may have fled on an electric scooter.
Swedish Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer called the incident extremely serious and expressed concern about the surge in violence.
Earlier it was reported that Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania had agreed on a joint purchase of several hundred CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, as announced by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
