Elon Musk unexpectedly backed down in his public quarrel with Donald Trump. Early Wednesday morning, he wrote on X that he regretted his remarks about the president. “Some of my posts last week really went too far,” the billionaire admitted.
Just six days earlier, Trump criticized Musk, calling his behavior “disappointing” and accusing him of attacking his initiative called “Big, Beautiful Bill.”
Musk responded harshly, lashing out at Trump with personal insults. Trump retaliated through Truth Social.
It seems Musk decided not to escalate the conflict further, realizing that continued tension could harm both his reputation and business.
Earlier it was reported that Elon Musk will step down from his role as a U.S. government crisis advisor in the coming months — a statement made by Donald Trump during a flight aboard Air Force One, noting that the head of Tesla and SpaceX will soon complete his work in that role.
It was also revealed that Elon Musk harshly criticized Trump’s tax reform, accusing it of wasteful budgeting and increasing the national debt. He said he was disappointed with the initiative, claiming it hinders the work of the Doge team.
