On the night of June 17, a drone attacked the building of the Russian Trade Mission in the Swedish capital. Information about the incident was published on the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy in Sweden.
The device flew over the guarded area and dropped a bag of paint right at the main entrance.
The attack occurred around midnight — at the time, security guards were present, but no one was injured.
The Trade Mission is officially part of the Russian diplomatic mission, and therefore its territory is protected by immunity under the Vienna Convention.
Moscow stated that the attack violates international norms and poses a threat to the safety of staff.
This is not the first attack on Russian diplomatic facilities in Sweden recently.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the Swedish authorities are not providing protection as required by international law. Moscow demanded urgent measures and security guarantees for its representatives.
Earlier, it was reported that Polish warships intercepted a Russian vessel from the "shadow fleet," which was maneuvering near a strategic energy cable in the Baltic Sea between Poland and Sweden. After Polish forces intervened, the ship headed back to a Russian port.
