Donald Trump sharply addressed Israel on the morning of June 24, demanding that it not launch new airstrikes. “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!” he wrote on social media.
The president called the potential attack a serious violation and indicated that further escalation of the conflict with Iran could derail the fragile ceasefire.
Trump’s comment came amid reports of upcoming Israeli Air Force missions, despite the reached agreements on a ceasefire.
Earlier it was reported that Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Iran following intense strikes on Tehran and accepted the U.S. proposal for a truce. However, the shelling has not stopped — rockets continue to arrive from Iran, and air raid sirens are once again sounding in Israeli cities, activating the air defense system.
