On Wednesday, 25 June, Donald Trump will arrive in the Netherlands to take part in the NATO summit, which will be held in The Hague on 25 and 26 June.

Instead of staying at the Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk as planned, the US president will spend the night at Huis ten Bosch Palace.

The government agency RVD confirmed this, adding that the invitation came directly from King Willem-Alexander, reports NL Times.

Immediately after his arrival at 19:45, Trump will meet with the king and queen. At the same time, final preparations are under way at the palace for the important diplomatic event.

In the evening, on the sidelines of the NATO summit, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will host an official dinner for heads of state and government. This was announced by the Royal House of the Netherlands on X.

On Wednesday morning Trump has a photo session and a royal breakfast on his schedule. Despite the change of venue for the president, part of the US delegation will likely remain in Noordwijk.

Security around the hotel remains in place. Police watercraft patrol the beach, and entrances to the fenced-off area are blocked.

The US president also told reporters on 24 June that he will probably meet with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the NATO summit in The Hague.

The conversation took place aboard Air Force One — the White House posted the video on YouTube. Trump stressed that he may ask Zelenskyy how he is doing, because, in his words, the Ukrainian leader has found himself “in an extremely difficult position in which he should never have been.”

Earlier it was reported that Donald Trump said Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire, putting an end to 12 days of tense armed confrontation.

It also became known that US congressman Buddy Carter nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming that his efforts made the ceasefire between Israel and Iran possible and stopped the armed conflict.
