Truck dangles over abyss: bridge collapses in China while vehicle in motion (Video)
In China's Guizhou province, a section of a bridge collapsed right under the wheels of a truck. The driver was left hanging over an abyss and trapped, but rescuers arrived in time to help.

On the morning of June 24 in Sandu County, Guizhou Province, China, a section of the Xiazhong expressway bridge unexpectedly collapsed, according to Chinese media.
The incident occurred around 7:40 AM — at that moment, a truck was crossing the bridge. The driver noticed a crack and braked sharply, but the front of the vehicle fell through — the cab was left hanging over the edge of the collapsed structure.
The man couldn’t escape on his own — there was nothing but emptiness beneath his feet. Rescuers arrived. They climbed up to the bridge using a ladder, secured the truck with ropes, and pulled the driver out through the rear doors. He escaped with only a fright.
It was later revealed that as early as 5:51 AM, road authorities had noticed the bridge deformation and began emergency road closures. By 7:11, the highway was fully shut down, which likely helped prevent a tragedy. Construction equipment was located beneath the bridge, but no people were inside — drone footage confirmed this.
Earlier, it was reported that in China's Anhui province, an Xiaomi SU7 electric car operating in autopilot mode crashed into a roadside barrier, resulting in three fatalities. The company has already released a detailed timeline of the incident and stated it will cooperate with the investigation.
