Marius Borg Hoiby, stepson of Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon, has become the subject of a criminal case investigated by Oslo police for nearly a year — since August 2024, reported the Norwegian police.
Through interviews, searches, and digital material analysis, investigators collected sufficient evidence to update the charges.
Hoiby is now charged with 18 offenses: one count of rape with penetration, two without, four cases of indecent sexual behavior, domestic violence, bodily harm, threats, property damage, resisting police, and five violations of restraining orders. Traffic violations are also mentioned in the case.
The police have submitted the case to the Oslo Prosecutor’s Office, which will decide whether to file full criminal charges or apply simplified prosecution procedures.
Some incidents, including those involving Ane Snekkestad and Haukland, were closed due to lack of evidence or expiration of the statute of limitations.
Hoiby has been detained three times, including once for attempting to destroy evidence. He is currently free and cooperating with the investigation.
