Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the city has been attacked 16 times by Russia over the past week. Most often, the enemy used Shahed kamikaze drones, but a new type of drone — the “Chernika” — was recorded for the first time.

This drone is similar in power to the already known “Molniya” but has a different design. The strike hit a garage cooperative, damaging several cars.

Explosions occurred in the Nemyshlianskyi, Kyivskyi, and Industrial districts. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. Four people were injured, including a child. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

Despite the intensity of the attacks, the total duration of air raid alerts in the city over the week was 33 hours shorter than the regional average.

This is thanks to the military, air defense forces, and analysts at the Situational Center, the mayor noted.
