Elon Musk accused Congress of hypocrisy and President Trump of double standards regarding electric vehicles and government support. All this amid hints of a political rebellion.

U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk have publicly exchanged sharp barbs.
On social media platform X, Musk criticized members of Congress who, he said, promised to reduce government spending but instead voted for a record increase in national debt. “Each of them should hang their head in shame. And they will lose the primaries next year — even if it’s the last thing I do on this Earth,” Musk vowed.
In response, Trump reminded everyone that he had opposed the electric vehicle mandate from the start and accused Musk of being dependent on subsidies: “Without subsidies, he might have had to shut down and go back to South Africa. No rocket launches, no satellites, no electric cars. The country would’ve saved a fortune.”
He also suggested “calling DOGE to look into it” — a reference to Musk’s favorite cryptocurrency.
Additionally, Musk posted a poll in which 80% of participants supported the creation of a new political force, accompanied by the phrase “Vox populi, vox Dei” — “The voice of the people is the voice of God.”
This might not just be a signal but a declaration of intent to enter the political arena in a big way.
Earlier, it was reported that Elon Musk softened his stance and apologized to Donald Trump, admitting that he had gone too far with his harsh comments. After several days of mutual jabs on social media, he called his posts overly harsh and expressed regret over the conflict.
