Washington has frozen the shipment of missiles and shells scheduled for Ukraine. The White House explained the move as a matter of national interest — and hinted at the strength of the US military.

President Trump’s administration has suspended the delivery of the latest weapons package to Ukraine, including PAC-3 Patriot air defense missiles, 155mm artillery shells, GMLRS guided rockets, Stinger, AIM-7, and Hellfire missiles. This was reported on X by correspondent Nick Schifrin, citing White House officials.

According to Anna Kelly, the decision was made following a Pentagon review: “America put its own interests first. We remain the strongest military in the world — just ask Iran.”

Deputy Secretary of Defense Sean Parnell noted that thanks to the policies of Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth, the US military is at full combat readiness.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon stated that it continues to present the president with “options for ongoing support to Ukraine,” but is operating under a new global strategy framework.

At the same time, Senator Baldwin criticized the freeze, noting that Ukraine urgently needs protection, especially air defense systems: “Neither Kyiv nor Europe is ready to produce systems like the Patriot on their own. This is a fight against tyranny, and it has already begun.”

It was previously reported that Norway will allocate 6.5 billion kroner for the purchase of Ukrainian and European-made drones to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and support its military industry — making it Oslo’s largest such aid package to date.
