Microsoft introduces hot patching in Windows 11: updates without reboots and easy OS reinstallation
Microsoft is updating Windows to ensure that most updates do not require rebooting. In the latest test development of Windows 11, updates can now be installed on the fly, thanks to the hot patching feature.
Updates through hot patching will be implemented alongside the autumn release of Windows 11 24H2.
Microsoft has announced that a new operating system will not appear in 2024; instead, a significant update for Windows 11 focused on artificial intelligence features will be released.
This means that system changes will occur without the need to reboot the computer, although some major updates will still require a reboot, but only about four times a year.
Microsoft has also simplified the process of reinstalling Windows, now it can be done directly from the "Update Center," similar to resetting settings on smartphones.
These changes will take effect with the autumn update of Windows 11.
It was previously reported that Deutsche Telekom will present a unique smartphone from Germany, which does without traditional applications thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.
