Stars of the original "Ghostbusters" supported the new film
The premiere of "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" took place in New York with the participation of stars from the first films
At the world premiere of the new film from the "Ghostbusters" franchise, titled "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire", celebrities from the original 1984 version of the film — Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson — gathered.
They came to express their support for the young actors and the team of the new project, which is the fifth part of the popular series and a continuation of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" from 2021, reports Daily Mail.
In the new movie, heroes unite with Paul Rudd and other young actors to battle new supernatural forces.
The premiere of the novelty took place in New York, where many stars gathered, including actress Annie Potts from the original cast, Dan Aykroyd, dressed in a bright red puffer jacket with the film's insignia.
The years have maintained warm relations between the main actors, despite creative differences that sometimes arose between them, especially between Murray and Aykroyd regarding the script for the third film.
Aykroyd, known for his interest in parapsychology, wrote the script for the original film, which, becoming a classic, collected almost ten times its budget in the box office, despite the skepticism of producers.
The new sequel transports viewers to New York, where the main characters once again face a powerful enemy, seeking to conquer the world using an army of ghosts.
Gil Kenan served as the director, working on the script together with Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, the director of the first film.
We previously wrote that the documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" brought Ukraine its first "Oscar" statuette, while the "Oppenheimer" project led the ceremony, winning 7 awards, including for best film.
Also, as part of Eurovision-2024, which will take place in Malmö, organizers announced the introduction of three significant innovations: the "Big Five" will now perform live, early voting has been introduced, and voting opportunities for viewers from countries not participating in the contest have been provided.
