Elton John severed ties with Gucci in support of friend Alessandro Michele

Elton John ended his collaboration with Gucci as a sign of solidarity with the departing creative director and his friend Alessandro Michele.

Michele, who was responsible for creating vivid outfits and made significant contributions to the brand's image over seven years, left his post in 2022 due to disagreements with CEO Marco Bizzarri regarding the future direction of the company, writes Daily Mail.

This decision made a strong impression on the 76-year-old singer, who not only regularly chose Gucci clothing for his performances but was also close to Michele personally.

John expressed his support for Michele, stating he would support him regardless of his future endeavors, highlighting a deep attachment and respect for his friend.

The event impacted the relationship between John and the brand, especially after the singer and his husband David Furnish were spotted in Versace suits at the annual party celebrating the "Oscar" awards, where the creative director of Versace was the guest of honor.

It is worth noting that the documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" brought Ukraine its first "Oscar" statue, while the film project "Oppenheimer" won seven awards, including best picture.

Also, by invitation of the brand Off-White, the famous tennis player Serena Williams, who recently ended her sports career, was a guest at Paris Fashion Week.
