Igor Tudor now leads the football club "Lazio", as announced on the team's official website. This 45-year-old coach comes to replace Maurizio Sarri, who was previously fired.

Before this, Tudor worked at "Marseille". He takes over a team that is in 9th place in Serie A.

Information about the contract details has not been disclosed.

In his coaching career, he has been with various clubs: from "PAOK", where he achieved notable success, to "Marseille", with which he won 27 games, drew 7 times, and suffered 14 defeats last season.

Tudor also coached "Verona", "Hajduk", "Udinese", "Galatasaray", and "Karabükspor", showing varying results depending on the level and condition of the teams.

The Dismissal of Maurizio Sarri

Following a defeat at home against "Udinese" with a score of 1:2, Maurizio Sarri left his position as the head coach of "Lazio". The official club website confirmed the news of the 65-year-old mentor's resignation.

Before appointing a permanent coach, the role of interim head coach was entrusted to Giovanni Martusciello, who had previously assisted Sarri.

Sarri's resignation was apparently due to disagreements with the team's leading players and five defeats in the last six games across different tournaments.

Since his arrival at "Lazio" in the 2021/22 season, Sarri initially brought the team to fifth place in Serie A, and then to second, losing only to "Napoli".

In the current season, "Lazio" managed to reach the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.
