In the final mass start of the Biathlon World Cup season in Canmore, Canada, the athlete from Italy, Lisa Vittozzi, secured her victory in the overall standings, becoming the holder of the Big Crystal Globe for the 2023/24 season.

The Italian achieved this success by taking first place in the sprint race and pursuit at the stage in Canada, which propelled her into the lead in the overall standings.

Vittozzi became the second athlete from Italy after Dorothea Wierer, who won the World Cup in 2019 and 2020.

Yuliia Dzhima showed the best result among the Ukrainians, finishing 24th in the final standings of the season.

In the final standings of the World Cup among women for the 2023/24 season, Lisa Vittozzi from Italy leads with 1091 points.

She is followed by Lou Jeanmonnot from France with 1068 points, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold from Norway with 1044 points, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet from France with 1025 points, and Julia Simon also from France with 994 points.
