Rally Incident in Hungary, Fatalities Reported

On Sunday, March 24, a tragedy occurred in the northwest of Hungary during a rally: a Skoda Fabia R5, participating in the competition, flew off the track and crashed into a crowd of spectators between the cities of Lábatlan and Bajót.
This incident led to the deaths of four people, among them children, and injured seven more.
The Hungarian Police report that the accident occurred due to a loss of control.
Eight ambulances and four rescue helicopters were immediately dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel noted that one child is in critical condition, while the other victims suffered both light and life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened against the backdrop of reports on the preparation of the track for the competition, including the cleaning of oil spots.
Law enforcement and medical services continue to work at the scene, clarifying the circumstances of the tragedy.
