Following his triumphant performance at the ATP Masters 1000, where Novak Djokovic defeated Frenchman Corentin Moutet with scores of 6:3, 6:1, an unforeseen incident occurred.

While signing autographs, Djokovic was unexpectedly struck in the head by a heavy water bottle, which forced him to sit down, clutching his head.

Tournament staff immediately came to the tennis player's aid and escorted him to a backstage area.

Later, the organizers in Rome clarified that the incident was accidental by publishing a video from a different angle, proving there was no malicious intent.

They confirmed that Djokovic received the necessary medical assistance and that his health was not at risk.

Novak Djokovic personally commented on the situation, assuring that he feels well after the incident and is already resting in the hotel.

"Thank you for all the messages. It was an unfortunate accident, and I am now resting in the hotel with an ice pack. See you on Sunday," he wrote on social media.

It was previously reported that after a recent football match, Tyson Fury, who is preparing for a fight for the absolute champion title with Oleksandr Usyk, met and took a joint photo with Alex Ferguson.

Also on May 12th in Perth at the RAC Arena, Vasyl Lomachenko and George Kambosos will fight for the vacant IBF lightweight title.
