Ukrainian forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the Kharkiv region and strengthened defenses on key fronts

The AFU successfully repelled enemy attacks on several fronts, suffering minimal losses and destroying a significant amount of enemy equipment and personnel.

The AFU General Staff reported that on the Kharkiv front, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three assault attempts by the occupiers. Stable defense is ensured.

Two attacks were repelled in the areas of the villages of Liptsy and Ternova, and near the village of Lukyantsi, fighting continues.

Ukrainian artillery and infantry inflicted significant losses on the enemy. On May 25, the occupiers lost 179 personnel, a tank, an armored fighting vehicle, three artillery systems, and six vehicles and special equipment.

On the Kupyansk front, there were six combat clashes, one of which was repelled. Fighting continues in the areas of Synkivka, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, and Druzhkivka, with the situation under control.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an attempt by the enemy to advance towards Nevske, with enemy losses being clarified. On the Kramatorsk front, there were no active enemy actions.

Intense fighting is taking place on the Pokrovsk front, where Ukrainian forces repelled six out of fourteen attacks. Fighting continues in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Sokol, and Nevelske.

On the Kurakhove front, an attack by the occupiers was repelled in the area of Kostyantynivka, while in the area of Krasnohorivka, the enemy continues offensive actions, but the situation is under control.

On the Vremivka front, near Rozdolne and Staromayorske, two attempts by the enemy to improve their tactical position failed. On the Orikhiv front, fighting is ongoing in the area of Mala Tokmachka.

On the Prydniprovske front, two enemy attacks were repelled in the area of the village of Krynky on the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. No positions were lost.

No significant changes were recorded on other fronts. The AFU General Staff emphasized that Ukraine's defense forces continue to take all necessary measures to contain the enemy's offensive and stabilize the situation.

Over the past day, Russian forces engaged in 141 combat clashes and launched 10 missile strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using 13 missiles.

There were also 40 airstrikes and 1001 kamikaze drone strikes, of which 994 were FPV drones.

Additionally, there were 3604 shellings from various weapons, including 96 from MLRS. As a result of these attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population.

Ukrainian Air Forces and artillery hit two command posts, three personnel concentration areas, and an enemy electronic warfare station over the past day.

Total Russian troop losses for the day amounted to 1110 personnel killed and wounded, as well as 12 tanks, 17 armored fighting vehicles, 24 artillery systems, one MLRS, one Su-25, 11 UAVs, 31 vehicles, and seven units of special equipment.

Since the start of the current day, there have been 35 combat clashes on the fronts. The occupiers carried out 529 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements and launched three airstrikes using guided bombs.

On the night of May 26, 2024, Russian forces launched a missile-air strike on Ukraine, using 14 air-launched missiles and more than three dozen strike UAVs. During the air defense battle, Ukrainian forces shot down 12 cruise missiles and 31 strike UAVs.

The air targets were destroyed in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, and Chernihiv regions.
