In the first match of Euro 2024, Germany thrashed Scotland with a score of 5:1. From the first minutes, the Germans dominated, finishing the game with a convincing victory.

The German team confidently began their performance at the European Football Championship by defeating Scotland with a score of 5:1 in Group A of the first round.

From the very first minutes of the match, the German team exerted pressure on the Scottish defense, which quickly yielded results.

Already in the 10th minute, Bayer forward Florian Wirtz opened the scoring, becoming the youngest player in his country's history to score at the Euros. Nine minutes later, Jamal Musiala doubled the lead.

At the end of the first half, a Scottish defender committed a rough foul in his penalty area, receiving a red card, and the Germans earned a penalty, which was confidently converted by Kai Havertz.

Thus, the first half ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of Germany.

In the second half, the Scots continued to feel the pressure from their opponents, and in the 68th minute, Niclas Füllkrug, who had just come on as a substitute, increased his team's lead with a precise shot into the corner of the net.

A few minutes before the end of the match, Scotland managed to score, but it was an own goal — Antonio Rüdiger put the ball into his own net.

In the final minute of the match, Emre Can set the final score with a long-range shot.

The game ended with a score of 5:1.
