Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv on June 22: 56 injured, including children
The Russian attack on Kharkiv on June 22 resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to 56 civilians, including two children. The destruction affected residential buildings, enterprises, and an eco-park.
On June 22, Russian military forces carried out a series of airstrikes on Kharkiv, resulting in 56 injuries, including two children aged 12 and 13. This was reported by the regional police on their Facebook page.
Among the injured are civilians, six of whom are in serious condition, including one man, four women, and one child.
Three people were killed: two in the Osnovyansky district and one in the Kholodnogorsky district of the city.
The attack was carried out using four unified inter-service glide bombs, UMPB D30-SN, which were reportedly launched from the territory of Belgorod region, Russia.
One of the bombs hit a road near a residential building in the Osnovyansky district, and three more struck the territory of an enterprise in the Kholodnogorsky district.
A five-story residential building, a public transport stop, shops, cars, and public transport were damaged. Hits were also recorded in the eco-park area and at one of the enterprises.
The head of the investigative department of the Kharkiv region police, Sergey Bolvinov, reported that the rescue operation is ongoing, as there may still be people trapped under the rubble.
The regional prosecutor's office clarifies that during the operation, the site of the incident continues to be investigated and fragments of guided bombs are being extracted to determine all the circumstances of the attack.
