Massed strikes by the AFU: 1220 enemy soldiers, 40 artillery systems, and 22 drones destroyed
Over the past day, there have been 142 combat clashes. The air forces and artillery of Ukraine inflicted significant losses on the enemy, including 1220 personnel and the destruction of equipment.
This morning, June 26, 2024, the General Staff of the AFU reported operational information on the state of the Russian invasion.
It has been 854 days since the start of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.
Over the past day, 142 combat clashes were recorded. According to updated data, Russian troops launched 2 missile strikes and 61 air strikes, including dropping 96 guided bombs (KAB). The enemy also conducted over 4000 shellings, 96 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
The air forces and artillery of the AFU successfully hit two command posts and 12 areas of enemy personnel concentration.
As a result of these attacks, Russian forces lost 1220 personnel in the past day. Additionally, 4 tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 40 artillery systems, 22 operational-tactical level UAVs, 45 vehicles, and 6 special equipment units were destroyed.
Since the beginning of the current day, 36 combat clashes have already occurred. The enemy launched one missile and 10 air strikes, using 22 KABs, as well as 44 kamikaze drone strikes and nearly 600 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.
On the Kharkiv direction, two attacks by the occupiers in the Volchansk area are ongoing. The situation is under control; the enemy lost 146 personnel killed and wounded, 3 armored combat vehicles, one artillery system, 5 vehicles, and 3 special equipment units.
On the Kupyansk direction, two attacks occurred in the areas of Berestove and Stelmakhivka. The situation is under control. On the Lyman direction, one attack was repelled, and fighting continues in the areas of Kopanky, Grekivka, Makiivka, and Torske.
On the Siversk direction, the enemy shows moderate activity. Today, there were five attempts to displace Ukrainian defenders from positions near Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Rozdolivka. Two attacks were repelled, and the fighting continues.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers are trying to advance towards Chasiv Yar and Klishchiivka. All attacks were repelled, and Ukrainian defenders firmly hold the defense.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 13 combat clashes were recorded. The enemy is trying to advance into the depths of Ukrainian territory, but the defense forces successfully repelled six attacks.
On other directions, the situation remains unchanged. Ukrainian defense forces continue to take all necessary measures to contain the enemy's offensive and deplete its combat potential.
Earlier it was reported that Poland and its allies activated air forces to patrol the skies in the southeast of the country in response to increased Russian aviation activity and strikes on Western Ukraine.
