Telegram introduces new features: converting Stars to Toncoin and global search
Telegram has received an update that includes converting Stars to Toncoin, global story search, and new content monetization features.
In the July update, Telegram introduced numerous new features that significantly enhance the usability of the messenger.
An important innovation is the ability to minimize mini-apps, such as Wallet, to the bottom of the screen.
This allows users to continue other activities, such as responding to messages, and easily return to the minimized app to resume work from the same place.
Converting Stars to Toncoin
Telegram now allows users to convert earned Stars into Toncoin cryptocurrency.
This innovation significantly expands the possibilities of using virtual rewards and simplifies the content monetization process for messenger users.
Global search and content monetization
The messenger also introduced a global search for stories by hashtags. This allows you to quickly find the desired content while maintaining privacy settings—hidden stories are not displayed, ensuring the security of personal information.
Additionally, stories can now have special links attached, making them more interactive and useful for users.
The new direct content monetization feature allows authors to require a certain number of Stars to view hidden photos or videos, opening up new earning opportunities and increasing the value of publications.
Earlier, TikTok released a new Whee app for Android devices, allowing users to share photos with their closest friends and is already available in more than ten countries.
It was also reported that the social network X is introducing mandatory labels for age-restricted content to enhance platform safety by labeling "adult" material in communities.
