Russia attacked Ukraine: hospitals, residential buildings, and power grids destroyed, dozens dead

Today, Russian armed forces launched a massive missile strike on the territory of Ukraine, including Kyiv.
As of 12:40, nine deaths and 23 injuries have been confirmed in Kyiv, according to the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Destruction has been recorded in seven districts of the capital, including damage to the children's hospital "Ohmatdyt," one of the most important children's hospitals in Europe.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel that people might be trapped under the rubble and called on the international community to take active measures against Russia.
Preliminary data on destruction in Kyiv:
- As a result of the shelling in the Shevchenkivskyi district, part of the children's hospital "Ohmatdyt" was destroyed.
- In the Holosiivskyi district, a kindergarten building and a residential house were damaged, and cars are burning.
- In the Solomianskyi district, an office building was damaged.
- In the Dniprovskyi district, debris is burning in a residential area.
- In the Darnytskyi district, a private house was damaged.
- In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris is burning near a residential building, and a fire broke out at an enterprise.
- In the Desnianskyi district, a house fire was recorded.
Additionally, in the Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, three transformer substations of the DTEK company were destroyed or damaged, leading to significant power supply disruptions.
DTEK specialists are already working on restoring the power supply, and most houses will be connected to backup sources shortly.
Across Ukraine, 21 deaths and 68 injuries have been registered. In Kyiv - 9 dead and 23 injured, in Kryvyi Rih - 10 dead and 41 injured, in Dnipro - 1 dead and 6 injured, in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region - 3 dead.
