Russian missiles and drones attacked Kyiv: all threats successfully neutralized by air defense
Russian forces launched an air attack on Kyiv using ballistic missiles and Shahed drones. All targets were destroyed by air defense, and no damage was reported.
In the night of August 11, 2024, Russian forces once again attempted to attack Kyiv. The enemy launched ballistic missiles and Shahed-type drones towards the Ukrainian capital.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, on his Telegram channel.
The launch of the ballistic missiles, presumably of the "Iskander-M" or North Korean KN-23 type, took place around midnight. However, the missiles did not reach Kyiv, hitting suburban areas instead.
Simultaneously with the missile attack on Kyiv, about a dozen Shahed attack drones were launched. Despite complex maneuvers, all the drones were successfully shot down by Ukrainian air defense directly over the capital.
At the moment, no damage has been recorded in Kyiv, and there are no reported casualties.
