Ukraine strengthens positions in Kursk region: Zelensky reports new successes
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the achievements of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, including the capture of prisoners and the strengthening of positions in this area.
On Saturday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed the public about important successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, based on a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
In his address, Zelensky noted that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled dozens of attacks in the Toretsk and Pokrovske directions, maintaining control of the situation.
A significant achievement was the operation conducted in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
According to Zelensky, Ukrainian servicemen managed to capture Russian soldiers, replenishing the so-called "exchange fund," necessary for the release of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians held by the Russian Federation.
Zelensky also reported that Ukrainian forces strengthened their positions in the Kursk region and expanded the territory under their control.
The President noted that work continues on new military support packages from international partners aimed at limiting Russia's offensive potential and enhancing the long-range capabilities of Ukrainian troops.
