Actor Michael Douglas arrived in Kyiv for the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen
American actor Michael Douglas visited Kyiv, strolling through the city's historic sites, and is preparing to participate in the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen on September 12.
On September 11, renowned American actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Michael Douglas, who supports Ukraine, visited Kyiv.
According to a report by the Kyiv City Tourism and Promotion Department on their Facebook page, Douglas toured the Ukrainian capital, visiting key landmarks of the city.
He visited St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, strolled through Volodymyrska Hill Park with its picturesque views of the Dnipro River, and admired the majestic St. Andrew's Church.
The Kyiv administration noted that the actor was impressed by the city's architecture and showed a keen interest in its historical events. In particular, he visited St. Michael's Square, where there is an exhibition of destroyed Russian military equipment.
Douglas arrived in Kyiv on September 11 by a "Ukrzaliznytsia" train, accompanied by a large delegation, including U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, and other high-ranking officials. This was reported by "Ukrzaliznytsia" on social media.
The purpose of Douglas and his 24-year-old son Dylan's visit is to participate in the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which will take place in Kyiv on September 12.
