Oleksandr Usyk, a two-time undisputed world champion and co-founder of Ready to Fight, shared the details of his preparation for the fight with Tyson Fury in an exclusive interview.
Recently, Usyk participated in a charity tournament organized by the Princess of Monaco Foundation, marking the start of his training camp ahead of the rematch.
“It's not just a way to stay in shape, but also an opportunity to develop my country,” Usyk noted, adding that he is not afraid of criticism about wasting time.
He mentioned that even activities such as football or water races help him become a better athlete.
Usyk pays special attention to the upcoming fight with Fury, scheduled for December 21. He is confident that his team will be better prepared for this fight than for the previous one.
“We have learned our lessons and will be ready to show our form in full,” he said.
Usyk also addressed rumors that Fury might cancel the fight. “The contracts are signed, and the fight must take place before December 31. If he doesn't step into the ring on December 21, he will lose not only money but also his reputation,” Usyk said, adding with irony that his team is preparing "sweet surprises" for Fury.
Earlier, the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk presented a documentary film about his journey to becoming the undisputed champion.
The film highlights key moments in the boxer's career, his preparation, and important fights. The video is already available for viewing on Usyk's official YouTube channel.
Particular attention is paid to his victory over Tyson Fury, which brought the Ukrainian athlete the title of undisputed world champion and became a milestone in his sports career.
