The Pentagon is deciding whether to postpone the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, scheduled for October 12 in Germany, in the "Ramstein" format. This was stated by Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh during a briefing.

The reason for the possible postponement is a change in the plans of U.S. President Joe Biden, who canceled his trip due to Hurricane "Milton," which threatens Florida.

According to her, it is not yet clear whether the "Ramstein" meeting and the NATO Defense Ministers meeting, scheduled for October 17-18, will be combined. "We are working on the schedule and will inform you as soon as updates are available," she noted.

It was previously reported that Joe Biden planned to participate in the meeting where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to present the "victory plan" to allies. However, the plans were changed due to the approaching Hurricane "Milton," which forced the U.S. President to postpone the trip.

Additionally, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who planned to accompany President Joe Biden at the meetings in Ramstein and Angola, will now return to Washington after his visit to Laos, where he will participate in the East Asia Summit of ASEAN, due to the cancellation of trips caused by Hurricane "Milton".
