On Indonesia's Flores Island, Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki spewed a dense column of ash up to 2 kilometers high, causing destruction and casualties, as reported by CNN Indonesia.

As a result of the nighttime eruption that occurred on November 3, six local residents lost their lives, and one nun from a nearby monastery is considered missing.

Affected structures include homes in six neighboring villages and a Catholic monastery, where part of the buildings was destroyed by fire. Approximately 10,000 people have been evacuated from the area.

Disaster management agency officials stated that the danger zone radius was extended to 7 kilometers around the volcano, and authorities strongly advise residents to stay outside this area.

Rescuers continue their work in the affected regions, assessing the scale of the damage and the number of potential casualties.

Earlier, it was reported that the eruption of Mount Etna in Sicily led to flight cancellations, disrupting air traffic during the Ferragosto holiday and leaving many tourists unable to depart.

It was also noted that the evacuation at the Blue Lagoon resort in southwest Iceland occurred after an eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula, where lava emissions rose up to 50 meters high.
