Elton John lost his vision
At the gala evening of the musical *The Devil Wears Prada*, Elton John spoke about losing his vision and the challenges he faced while working on the project.

The legendary British musician Elton John shocked fans at the premiere of the musical *The Devil Wears Prada*, held in London's West End, according to The Guardian.
Speaking on stage after the charity gala performance, the 77-year-old artist admitted that due to serious vision problems, he is unable to see his own show.
John revealed that he lost vision in his right eye due to an infection he contracted in July in France. His left eye also has limited vision. The musician acknowledged that the recovery process would be lengthy: "I am gradually recovering, but it's very slow."
In his speech, he expressed gratitude to his husband David Furnish, calling him "his rock," as well as to his medical team and loved ones who support him during this difficult time.
Despite the challenges, John continues to pursue his creativity. He noted that he enjoys the music of the musical: "I love hearing it, and it sounds amazing."
The musical, based on the book and film of the same name, was warmly received by audiences and critics. The lead role was played by American actress and model Vanessa Williams. Among the premiere guests were stars of the fashion industry, including Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The premiere of *The Devil Wears Prada* also served as a charitable event, with proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
It was previously reported that Elton John cut ties with Gucci in support of his friend Alessandro Michele after his departure from the fashion house and appeared at the Oscars party wearing a Versace suit.
