Two-day talks began in Brussels between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. This was reported by the Official Internet Representation of the President of Ukraine.

The main focus was on security guarantees for Ukraine, especially during the winter period. Zelensky emphasized the importance of a unified position among European partners to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

A key topic was the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense system. Zelensky noted that protecting critical infrastructure requires the delivery of 19 additional systems. Rutte assured that this issue remains a priority on NATO's agenda.

The economic aspect was also addressed. Rutte highlighted the importance of the example set by Denmark and Lithuania, which are purchasing Ukrainian weapons for the Ukrainian army.

This simultaneously strengthens Ukraine's defense capabilities and supports its economy.

The talks will continue with the participation of European leaders, prime ministers, and other representatives to develop a coordinated strategy to assist Ukraine.

Earlier, it was reported that NATO approved a resolution on the supply of missiles, fighter jets, and expanded aid to Ukraine, noting the importance of a strategic response to threats from Russia.

It was also announced that Norway is allocating 1 billion kroner to seven humanitarian organizations to support Ukrainians enduring the third winter of war.
