In Munich, a Driver Crashed into a Crowd: 28 Injured, Possible Terror Attack
In central Munich, a driver ran into a group of demonstrators, injuring 28 people. Police are considering the possibility of a terrorist attack. The driver was a 24-year-old Afghan national who was under deportation orders.

This morning, February 13, an incident occurred in central Munich that authorities are classifying as a possible terrorist attack, according to the Munich Police.
Around 10:30 AM, at Stiglmaierplatz, the driver of a passenger car suddenly accelerated, overtook a patrol car, and crashed into a crowd of demonstrators from the ver.di trade union. As a result, 28 people were injured, with several in critical condition.
The driver was a 24-year-old man of Afghan origin who had previously been charged with drug-related offenses and theft. According to Bavaria’s Ministry of the Interior, he was subject to deportation but was not listed as an extremist.
Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder stated that the incident is "highly likely" a terrorist attack. Authorities are investigating the perpetrator’s motives and potential connections to radical groups. Special forces continue to operate at the scene, and traffic in the area remains blocked.
Earlier, it was reported that Munich police opened fire on an armed man near the Israeli consulate after he approached the building and raised suspicions.
It was also revealed that London and Berlin have agreed on new measures to support Ukraine and strengthen Europe’s defense at a meeting between the British Prime Minister and the German Chancellor at Chequers.
